The Acropolis Museum is focused on the findings of the archaeological site of the Acropolis of Athens. The museum was built to house every artifact found on the rock, from the Greek Bronze Age to Roman and Byzantine Greece. It also lies on the archaeological site of Makrygianni and the ruins of a part of Roman and early Byzantine Athens.

excellent! i am glad that finally we built such nice museum to host Elgin Marbles. became already a significant point of interest of Athens and Greece cultural tourism as well.

Αν και εξωτερικά το μουσείο δεν αφήνει και τις καλύτερες εντυπώσεις, κυρίως γιατί δεν δένει με τον βράχο της Ακρόπολης, εν τούτοις εσωτερικά είναι εξαιρετικό και αποζημιώνει τον επισκέπτη.
