Thessaly
Thessaly is located in the central Greece. Mostly farmers live in this region, which is famous for its traditional meat and diary. Most touristic site is Pelion Mountain, which small villages , are the most popular winter destination for the Greeks. In addition to Pelion, Volos is a beautiful city, next to the see, with many tavernas, where you can drink the famous tsipouro. Larissa is the capital of the region , a large city with good nightlife and many entertainment facilities. An hour away by car is Trikala, with old town and a small river, flowing through its center. Not far away from Trikala, you can see the wonderful Meteora and its breathtaking monasteries. Thessaly also consists of the islands of Skopelos, Allonisos, Skiathos, each with its own special beauty.
