Archeologikou Mouseiou 30, Thessaloniki, Thessaloniki, Macedonia
The Yeni Mosque was built in 1902 by the architect Vitaliano Poseli, as a worship place of the Islamized Jews of Thessaloniki (known as Donmeh). The building is characteristic example of eclecticism with renaissance, baroque, byzantine, Islamic and neoclassic elements. After 1924 the building was used as the archaeological museum, whereas today is used for cultural events.
