Sarakina Canyon
Description
The entrance of Sarakina Canyon is near the village Mithi. The locals call it the Sarantapihos Canyon. According to the legend, while Sarantapihos (a giant, son of Zeus) was drinking water from the river his long beard tore the mountain and thus created the canyon.
