Arta, Arta, Arta, Epirus

The most famous bridge in Greece is located west of the town of Arta. It is distinguished for its unique architecture, but also for the legends associated with its construction. It is not known exactly when it was founded (it is considered to be founded in the 3rd century BC), but it took its final form in 1612. In 1881 it was the boundary between the free and the occupied Greece (by the Turks).
