The ski center of Seli is one of the most popular ski resorts in Greece , at an altitude of 1534 m. It is located on the slopes of Vermio in Seli, 24 km away from Veria and 95 km from Thessaloniki. In 1934, the first PanHellenic Games of skiing were organized here. It has 17 pistes, 7 lifts and 4 baby lifts. The pistes are divided into blue, green, red, racing, and touristic. The international route E4, which is suitable for those who love winter hiking, is near the ski centre. Also, here is one of the few winter campsites in Greece, where one can stay overnight in his/her caravan. Next to the ski resort of Seli there is the only private ski centre in Greece (Chrisso Elafi), with slopes mainly for beginners and children.
