The Pella Archaeological Museum is situated at the southeast foot of the hill, where the palace was, in the northeast section of that part of the archaeological site, which is open to visitors, and directly beside the modern-day settlement on the east. It is the natural place for visitors to the site to conclude their tour, a place where they have the chance to reframe the archaeological evidence offered by the monuments during their tour, and to better understand the various aspects of daily and public life in the Macedonian capital. For this reason, the exhibit's thematic groups are harmonized with the site's excavation sectors, without the one being cut off from the other.
